PV Module - A Photovoltaic Panel Simulator
PV Module is an Android application developed by Ángel Martínez that solves the simplified equation of a photovoltaic module. It uses a single exponential and five parameters, including Voc, Vmp, Isc, and Imp, which are provided under standard test conditions (STC: 1000 W/m² of irradiation, 25ºC cell temperature, spectrum AM 1.5g) by the manufacturer. With the determination of these parameters, the app simulates the behavior of the photovoltaic panel under different conditions. PV Module allows users to calculate the series resistance (Rs), shunt resistance (Rsh), and fill factor (FF) of the panel. Additionally, users can generate I-V and P-V curves for both STC and non-STC conditions, and compare two modules.
PV Module is a useful tool for professionals and enthusiasts in the solar energy industry. The app provides accurate and reliable results, making it easy to simulate the performance of a photovoltaic panel under different conditions. Its user-friendly interface and comprehensive features make it an excellent choice for anyone working with photovoltaic panels.
